What does digital accessibility mean?
An accessible website provides easy access for all visitors, including people with disabilities who are using special software and hardware.
For example, an accessible website allows users to:
- Navigate using speech synthesis or braille displays (especially for blind and visually impaired users).
- Customize the site's display to suit their needs (enlarge the font, modify the colors, etc.).
- Navigate without using the mouse, with the keyboard only or with a touchscreen.
To meet these requirements, the site must comply with strict standards when designed and updated.
TotalEnergies is committed to ensuring that its digital services and products are accessible in accordance with Section 47 of French Act 2005-102 of February 11, 2005, on equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities.
An accessibility officer, the Disability Program and a dedicated ecosystem have been created to realize the Group's ambitions.
The Group is currently working on defining its long-term accessibility policy and the associated action plan. They will soon be displayed on the different products and services during the second half of 2021 for the period between 2021 and 2023.
A compliance audit has been scheduled for the first half of 2022. The accessibility statement will be shared following the audit.
